Greta

Today I went to visit my darling Greta.
Greta and her late husband Sven had a summer house close to us during my childhood and they took care of us a lot when mum and dad was working long hours at the farm.
Greta is a very special lady and I've learned a lot from her. She is very controversial for her generation.A late friend of Greta had this painting made in the 90's. It's the Pearly gate and to the right, closest to the gate is Greta and her friend John is next in line.
Since he knows her and her ways he brought a stool because he knew it would take some time for Greta to talk her way in.
Very humorous for us who knew/know them both.

Spring cleaning

Time for some spring cleaning.
Dad's old Ford is going in the garage and it hasn't been used for a car in more than 20 years, so there are things to throw or at least move.What to keep and what to throw? That is the eternal question.

The easter bynny

The easter bunny has hidden eggs with candy somewhere outside.
Since we are not here during easter the easter bunny was early this year.
As you can see there is not much snow left here in Sweden.Melwin found his egg.Leya, in her Cinderella dress of course, and her egg.All three kids.

IKEA

IKEA is the shit! Like one of my Swedish friends said today.
We don't have IKEA in India, so we are doing some serious shopping for the café during our stay here in Sweden.

IKEA drinking glass. I want coloured drinking glasses for the café, but where can I find it in Delhi? I think I have to pack our luggage full and bring these darlings to India.
And how about the tray? Pink is INDIA and IKEA! Love them both!Cool jugs! We will serve bottled water for free!I love coloured glass bottles! Found these at IKEA today. Perfect for serving water! Only the best and cutest is good enough for Leya's Café. Heart shaped ice cubes made from bottled water. How about that!

Wednesday

Our dear Wednesday's new family. Since we are living in India now we want the best for her and this family will take care of her as one in the family.
I cried crocodile tears when they left, but I know in my heart she will be fine.

Birthday party

Last week my nephew celebrated his 5:th birthday and since Leya celebrated her 4:th birthday in India we met at my sisters home and celebrated both of them.Melwin, my 9 year old nephew, is whipping the cream for the Swedish waffles.
Mum is helping him.My sister, Tess and her boyfriend Lars are waiting for waffles.The family tiger, Selma.The cousins hug Bye, Bye. So cute!

Grand opening of Sörby Mansion B&B

Yesterday we went to the grand opening of Sörby Mansion B&B.
The new owner, Eleonora, has made a fantastic job renovating and decorating this huge house.
The bedspreads, cushion covers, wall hangings and curtain tassels, she has bought from us in India.
